Out-of-the-ordinary seasonal songs from around the world.
Singers from Scunsulata - a cappella ensemble based in the Norfolk Broads
There’s a double bill of a cappella singing at the Unitarian Meeting House, Framlingham, on Sunday 17th December. In the morning – from 10 till 1 – Stephanie Anderson will be leading Season’s Greetings – a workshop of seasonal songs from around the world, including carols from Yorkshire and the Basque Country, a wassail from Caucasus Georgia, and a few other surprises along the way. Then in the afternoon, at 2 p.m., singers from Norfolk-based Scunsulata will be performing in concert. There will be seasonal refreshments, a chance to sing along with some of the songs, and a collection in aid of the David Nott Foundation, which trains surgeons and other medical staff to provide relief and assistance in conflict and natural disaster zones around the world. Admission for the workshop will be £12, and booking is essential: please contact Stephanie on 01692 583400. Concert tickets will be £5 on the door (or book by phone) – admission is free for workshop participants. More information is at www.stephanie-anderson.co.uk .
